These pieces celebrate the process of healing – the hopeful beauty and active pain. My work comprises the marks left behind by my actions - heightened by my emotions. Interwoven into these pieces are lines I have used for years, marks that are achingly familiar. Lines that now carry a heightened meaning, marks that are repeated on my body.

The words I once scrawled into the margins of my pieces are now clearly typed, easter eggs for the viewer to find if they are willing and daring. They can lean in and learn more about me and what I am revealing. The rewards, the layers, the words, and the fine detail are there for the curious.

Using video and augmented reality, I have added the soundtrack of my voice. It is a vulnerable and revealing experience that taps into our shared humanity to transport the viewer.
